About NCC

The NCC unit of Government Sheikh-ul-Alam Memorial Degree College, Budgam, provides students with opportunities to participate in various training programs and community service activities that contribute to their overall personality development and nation-building.

Objectives

• To develop qualities of leadership, discipline and responsibility among students.
• To create awareness about national integration and social service.

• To provide opportunities for adventure activities and military-oriented training.

The NCC unit regularly organizes and participates in:

• Drill and parade training
• Annual Training Camps (ATC)
• Combined Annual Training Camps (CATC)
• Republic Day and Independence Day celebrations
• Tree plantation drives
• Cleanliness and environmental awareness campaigns
• Blood donation and health awareness programs
• Disaster management and relief activities
• Adventure activities such as trekking and mountaineering
• Community outreach and social service programs

Achievements

Our cadets have actively represented the college in various NCC camps, cultural activities, and social service initiatives at district, state, and national levels. The unit takes pride in producing disciplined and responsible citizens who contribute positively to society.

Enrolment

Enrolment in NCC is open to eligible first-year students of the college. Interested students are encouraged to join the NCC to develop leadership qualities, physical fitness, confidence, and a spirit of service.
